Marc Riboud, “From Melancholy to Joy”, vintage photographs and modern prints.
Over the years, he discovered the physical joy of this quest, of the search for the spontaneous shot. According to Bertrand Eveno, “for him, a well-composed photograph is a delight, a harmonious nourishment for the body, yes the body and the soul.”
He also discovered, as an “empathetic traveler”, moments of true joy, of joy of living, and we offer them to you as well in this exhibition.
His photographs were of course a mirror of his inner emotions. We present to you both vintage photographs and modern prints illustrating both the melancholy and the joy that marked his life and imbued his soul and his gaze.
